Our Centre is growing leaps and bounds

We are currently seeking an Early Childhood Educator or Early Childhood Educator Assistant for our Alderbridge, Richmond location.

**Job Description**

  • Responsible for the supervision, safety and well-being of the children in care during daily activities
  • Liaise with Director, co-workers and all other staff
  • Ensure that all programs are followed and implemented while keeping the individual needs of the children in mind
  • Prepare programs and set up the learning environment ahead of time
  • Observations and documentation are conducted daily to support and promote physical, cognitive, emotional and social development
  • Communicate with families through Tiny Hoppers corresponding methods; establishing and maintaining a warm and supportive professional relationship
  • Responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations of the classroom, playground, and routines are followed
  • Maintain a clean, healthy, safe, organized, welcoming and stimulating environment for the children
  • Attend professional development training/workshops and monthly staff meetings

Qualifications and Requirements

  • MUST have BC ECE or BC ECEA License to practice
  • MUST have current First-Aid/CPR Certificate
  • MUST have a valid Criminal Record Check
  • Have a strong understanding of child development and behavior
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be very organized
  • Have problem-solving skills and a strong ability to multi-task
  • Must look & present self in a professional manner

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $19.00-$27.00 per hour

Schedule

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
