**Job Description**:
This position will work closely with the Private Label Product Manager to provide support in all stages of the product lifecycle for Private Label products. As part of a highly focused and innovative team, the Private Label Assistant Product Manager will play a key role in the product positioning and post-launch planning of new products along with the analysis of product and category performance of our private label business. The performance of the duties must ensure a quality service approach to all employees, customers and suppliers. All responsibilities must be performed in a manner consistent with the Farm Boy Way.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Develop strategic product positioning and messaging for new and rebranded private label products, creating and communicating product briefs.
- Create and execute strategic launch planning initiatives of new products to maximize the sales of product launches.
- Organize and lead launch meetings with internal stakeholders.
- Evaluate new and existing products overall category performance, highlighting sales trends within the product assortment.
- Assist with product reviews and conduct product lifecycle analysis to ensure the private label assortment of products are maximizing sales and continuing to be relevant to customers.
- Compile and communicate weekly sales analysis reports to internal stakeholders.
- Identify and maintain insights on marketplace and consumer trends.
- Keep up-to-date on new packaging innovation and technology, bringing forward new packaging concepts for new and existing products.
- Work with multiple deadlines, organize and prioritize projects to ensure deliverables are met.
- May be requested to undertake other related duties on a periodic basis.

**Qualifications**:

- Typically requires completion of a post-secondary program in Business Administration (or related field) with 2 - 4 years of grocery retail experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A passion for great tasting food and a desire to create the best customer shopping experience.
- Excellent analytical skills, critical thinking and well-developed computer skills with intermediate experience in Excel (pivot tables is an asset).
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excelled communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience with Private Label and/or Product Development will be considered an asset.

**Work and Sensory Environment**:

- Providing service to several people and departments while working under many simultaneous deadlines.
- May be required to travel between Farm Boy stores, Home Office and/or Central Operations.
- Exposure to eye strain from computer terminals.
