Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Production Manager to support our commercial roofing operations. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role helps coordinate and supervise roofing projects to ensure they are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard. The ideal candidate will help manage crews, materials, equipment, and communication to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Production Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising commercial roofing projects.
- Schedule crews, materials, and equipment for daily operations to ensure efficient workflow.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and safety standards throughout each phase.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure workmanship meets company and client standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members, subcontractors, and clients to coordinate tasks and resolve issues.
- Assist with documentation related to project progress, resource use, and safety compliance.
- Foster a safety-first mindset on site, ensuring all crew members follow safety procedures and regulations.
Qualifications & Skills (Required / Preferred)
Required:
- Construction or commercial roofing experience, or strong familiarity with roofing/construction operations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Valid driver's license.
- Positive attitude, leadership mindset, and strong teamwork skills.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in commercial roofing or construction management.
- Experience supervising crews or coordinating construction projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle onsite challenges efficiently.
