**Job Position**: Fundraising Coordinator

**Hours**: Part-Time at 30 hours per week

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
The Fundraising Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director and carries out their duties under the authority of the Fund Development Team and the Executive Director. This is an in-person position working out of our offices at 187 Bristol St. in Guelph, Ontario. The Fundraising Coordinator helps drive the fundraising efforts to secure the resources needed to advance the organization’s work and vision. The individual in this position will perform day-to-day activities that will help build and maintain sustainable revenue streams. The Fundraising Coordinator works closely with the Executive Director and Management Team to achieve set goals for funding. The Fundraising Coordinator has knowledge of the fundraising landscape in the community, has experience working with not-for-profit organizations. This role will help with fundraising plans, goals and execution of the following areas but not limited to these. They include yearly giving campaigns, our monthly Angel Donor program, fundraising events during the year, 3rd party event development and coordination, corporate and community relationships to build awareness and support for the organization.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- College or University diploma, or equivalent experience working in the fundraising sector.
- The ability to work with community partners, ability to initiate new contacts for continued g growth such as event sponsorship, corporate relationships etc.
- Being able to work and communicate with the Michael House team and community partners is critical. Exceptional, authentic communicator both orally and in writing, both internally with staff teams, event teams, event volunteers, sponsors, and event attendees.
- Must have technology skills working with Microsoft, teams, Keela, excel, Word.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks occasionally that are required for set-up and tear-down at events.
- Must have a valid driver’s licence.

**RESPONSILBILITES AND PRINCIPLE ACTIVITES**:
All work at Michael House requires staff to have read and understood our Programs, Health and Safety, Financial and Human Resources policies and procedures.

The following list is not comprehensive. Tasks or responsibilities may be added as needed to secure or enhance the fundraising initiatives of the organization. The three main areas of responsibility for this position include the following:
**Fundraising**
- Develop compelling proposals, reports for corporate partners and funders, creating and u updating sponsorship packages for signature events.
- Implement fundraising activities.
- Work as a team to oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events.
- Engage volunteers on fundraising/event teams and projects.
- Work with staff to track deliverables, and work within event budgets.
- Create, maintain, and manage 3rd Party Event streams.
- Manage all deadlines, workflows and project plans for fundraising activities including events, corporate liaison and relationship building, communication and deliverables.
- Participate in the planning and coordination of creative, strategic, and meaningful appeals, campaigns, and activities to engage new and existing donors both online and in-person.
- Participate in the further development and growth of our individual Angel Donor program.
- Other tasks as assigned.

**Maintain and Build Positive Relationships**
- Understand all aspects of the organization’s Mission and Vision.
- Work with the Management Team to use impactful storytelling and communication methods to convey the power of collaborative action to community partners.
- Support the organization in researching new prospects, developing presentations, information packages and participating in opportunities to share about the work of the organization.
- Work with the team to develop the website, newsletter, and social media content to market the organization, promote fundraising activities and acknowledge donors and funders.

**Coordinate Strategy and Reporting**
- Foster an understanding of philanthropy and commitment to fund development within the organization.
- Monitor and report on the progress of the fund development plan.
- Meet regularly with the Executive Director to coordinate the plan.
- Research, evaluate and recommend new fundraising opportunities and tactics that are in alignment with the organization’s values and mission.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor and fundraising data in our donor database system.
- Track results of fundraising efforts through financial reports.
- Participate in management and staff meetings.
- Celebrate successes and troubleshoot challenges with staff and event teams.
- Agree to take on assignments and tasks.
- Follow up on action items by completing tasks, documenting results and regular communication with staff and event teams.
