**LOCATION: Base, Brampton or Sault Ste. Marie Campus**
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Director of Administrative Services and Strategic Initiatives (DASSI)
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Student Assistants (if applicable)
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
The Stakeholder and Administrative Support Coordinator is responsible for providing excellence in stakeholder and administrative support. Implementing the specific goals, commitments, and initiatives in the SchoolBE strategic plan will be a priority to advance the SchoolBE. This position will work collaboratively as a member of the SchoolBE team, and cross departmentally within Algoma University, to ensure that the SchoolBE is meeting its commitments and goals.
The Stakeholder and Administrative Support Coordinator will support students and coordinate access to support services for SchoolBE students in order to provide students with the academic, social, and administrative support to be successful.
This position will perform a variety of administrative duties to support stakeholders and industry working with the SchoolBE team.

The incumbent will report to the DASSI and will need to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously, establish priorities, work independently, use good judgment, and have excellent organizational and problem solving skills. The incumbent must have knowledge of the education-based administrative, operational, academic and governance structures and understand the importance of stakeholder relations.
As a BBA graduate, with experience working in the post-secondary sector, the incumbent will maintain current knowledge of the university calendar, strategic plans, academic plans, program requirements, deadlines, policies and procedures. This position is inclusive of the entire SchoolBE no matter the campus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Student and Stakeholder Support
- Provide excellence in student and stakeholder support by fostering positive relationships with and for the School of Business and Economics community and community at large, in support of student success and stakeholder relationships
- Act as a point of contact and SchoolBE support personnel for external / industry partnership programming initiatives
- Responsible for the development of and maintaining promotional materials, website content, brochures, etc. for SchoolBE programming
- Responsible for leading student logistics regarding external /industry programming initiatives
- Develop and participate in program, specialization, and certificate specific orientations for prospective and current students
- On behalf of the SchoolBE, act as a point of contact, liaising and responding to enquiries and/or concerns relating to the SchoolBE
- Lead in developing student support plans/services for SchoolBE students in support of student success
- Collaborates with members of the SchoolBE team and cross-departmentally to coordinate access to support services for SchoolBE students
- Provide academic advising to SchoolBE students (First Year and Certificates)
- Support members within Student Success Central and Registrar’s Office teams, on behalf of the SchoolBE students
- Develop and maintain welcome packages and orientation materials/sessions for incoming SchoolBE students
- Liaise with Student Success, Student Experience and People & Culture team on behalf of SchoolBE students who are facing issues regarding their personal security, (crisis and mental health training, cultural sensitivity training)
- Assist with the facilitation of Student Success and Well-being events on behalf of the SchoolBE
- Use internal program and processes to register students
- Provide general distance education support to SchoolBE students
Strategic Growth Support
- Assist with strategic growth opportunities and initiatives for advancement of the SchoolBE strategic plan relating to specific goals and commitments
- Conduct research and/or collect data in key areas relating to the Strategic Plan
- Participate in committee and councils relating to stakeholder relationships as per the SchoolBE strategic plan (resources and metrics)
- Lead for SchoolBE Hub, dashboard and portal for Strategic Plan (SmartSheets)
- Preparing meeting agendas / materials and minute taking for various SchoolBE Strategic Planning committees as required
- Continuous improvement of the SchoolBE’s student satisfaction ratings, and ensure domestic and international learners benefit from a positive, inclusive and supportive experience
