Security Oversights/ Qualifications:

- Ensure the safety and security of students, staff, parents and visitors on the school premises.
- Monitor and control access to the school facilities.
- Conduct regular patrols of the campus to identify and address potential security risks.
- Report any suspicious activities or incidents promptly to appropriate authorities.
- Collaborate with school administration, teachers, and other staff members to address security and maintenance concerns.
- Greet parents, visitors, employees and students as they arrive the school.
- Build relationships with parents, students and employees through daily communication.
- Identify security awareness deficiencies and makes recommendations to supervisor as appropriate.
- Be physically capable of performing some lifting and moving of delivery, stationary and furniture when required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professional demeanor under stressful situations.
- Must be self motivated and consistently show initiative.
- Thrives in a team environment.
- Articulate and ability to communicate effectively with students and employees alike, and seeks to understand and be understood.
- Responds positively to challenges, is reflective and not risk averse.
- Demonstrate emotional intelligence.
- Enabling and promoting positive image and relationships with parents, students, employees and visitors.
- Standard First Aid and CPR certification is an advantage.
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
- Clean Vulnerable Sector Screening/Police Check Certificates.

**Salary**: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7.5 per week
