**Job Overview**

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organized Camp Caretaker to join our Summer 2025 camp team at our Richland Academy location (11570 Yonge St). As a Camp Caretaker, you will play an integral role in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning camp environment. Your responsibilities will include general upkeep, facility maintenance, and supporting a smooth day-to-day operation of camp activities. If you have experience working in environments with children and enjoy interacting with them, we would love to meet you
- Has experience maintaining shared spaces such as classrooms, lunchrooms, and washrooms
- Understands proper cleaning techniques and how to use various tools and materials
- Feels comfortable in child-centered environments like schools, camps, or daycare programs
- Takes initiative and works well independently
- Brings a friendly, approachable presence that contributes to a positive environment for children and staff

**Responsibilities**:

- Carry out cleaning tasks to ensure all indoor and outdoor areas are tidy and ready for use
- Manage waste and recycling in line with camp guidelines and eco-friendly practices
- Conduct routine inspects of camp facilities and equipment to identify potential safety hazards
- Set up and take down equipment and supplies for activities, special events, and daily programs
- Support staff and engage with children when not occupied with cleaning tasks
- Foster a collaborative and respectful working environment by communicating effectively with staff and engaging positively with children

**Job Requirements**:

- Full weekday availability in July and August, plus select training days in June
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary school program

**Considered an Asset**:

- Previous experience in maintenance and cleaning, with an emphasis on functionality and upkeep

**Additional Requirements**:

- Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C (must have before the start of camp)
- Vulnerable Sector Screening Check (must have before the start of camp)

**Location**:

- Richland Academy (11570 Yonge St): JK - Grade 2, STEAM Camp

**Schedule**:
Pre-camp training dates: June 21, 25, 26

Camp dates: June 30 - August 22
- **Some of our camp locations will operate on Canada Day (June 30th and July 1st), but not on Civic Holiday (August 4th)**_

Ability to commute/relocate:
