Temporary (Mat leave) position based in South West Alberta - Lethbridge to Calgary, Nufarm is looking to engage a motivated, target-oriented, and experienced Territory Manager who will be responsible for driving sales of Nufarm brands within the assigned territory via account management, relationship development, technical support and after sales service. The Territory Manager will be covering a maternity leave starting in February 2025 for 12 - 14 months.
What will you be doing?
Support the sale of Nufarm branded products to all key retailers/distributors in the territory.
Building a business relationship with key retail partners centered around brand and business profitability.
Co-advertising with select retail partners.
Nufarm sponsored/exclusive training events with retail partners.
Territory managers will focus on the key products and the 20% of retails that conduct 80% of the business in the territory.
Identify and focus on sales and agronomy solutions for our dealer partners that make sense in the board room and the field.
Report market trends and offer guidance to management around corporate strategy.
Manage Nufarm activities within the territory to meet sales targets for Nufarm and maximize impact in the marketplace.
Build customer plans, with each key account, that are designed to achieve territory budget.
In conjunction with the Marketing Department, create advertising and promotional materials for the territory.
**Work within the Company’s vision and strategy**: have fun; simple and easy to do business with; unique - different than the majors.
Participate in the development of the overall sales and marketing plan, to meet sales goals and gain market share.
Provide timely and accurate reporting to sales managers on performance and development opportunities.
Develop strong business relationships with retailers and distribution to ensure Nufarm strategy and products are understood.
Monitor sales expenses, including travel and field support, monitoring accrual to budget.
Identify potential opportunities and participate in developing these opportunities.
Develop strong business relationships and communicate sales plans to key regional distributor and retail contacts within the territory.
Account management responsibilities may be required to support the Nufarm business outside of an individual territory in some instances.
Help develop and drive a grower sales product strategy.
What do you bring?
Nufarm is looking for a Territory Manager with a minimum of 5 years retail, distribution, or manufacturer sales experience in the Agriculture Industry. An Agriculture Degree is preferred but not required. To be successful in this role, you should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and exercise strong leadership skills.
