RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting the Education Department with orienting and training new teachers (PT/FT/supply); acting as a supply teacher (as needed);
- Conducting speaking tests for orientation days and as counselors/marketers request if asked by the Education Manager or if Education Manager is not available;
- Suggesting revisions to curriculum/textbooks;
- Assisting with teacher direction on Orientation day / Intake days as assigned;
- Assisting and ensuring teachers are completing placement tests (written and speaking);
- Prioritizing level up test marking on Orientation day;
- Ensuring Teachers have materials & supplies and report any necessary supplies to Education Manager
- Counseling students regarding elective selection;
- Helping correct placement tests (written and online);
- Creating new systems to better organize the school;
- Keeping staff/teachers updated about anything that affects scheduling, duties, policies, etc.
- Providing tech support (computer / Internet / photocopier)
- Assisting in creating school event calendars;
- Assisting in arranging events for students to participate in that are low cost or no-cost;
- Keeping up-to-date with city events and encouraging students to join;
- Inputting final marks into the grade tracking system at the end of semester;
- Communicating with Education Manager regarding general teacher and student mood
- Communicating with other staff members regarding student changes;
- Enforcing school policies;
- Attending teacher meetings,
- Other duties as assigned (ad hock).
**Job Type / Category**
This is a part-time position Monday - Friday 9-2:45 pm. This is an office position inside a private school.
**Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications**
Qualifications:
- College diploma or university degree
- TESOL or equivalent
- 1-year of experience
- Proficient with Google Docs and Microsoft Suite
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Good inter-personal skills
- Able to work in a team environment
