Electric Shop Superviser

The Shop Supervisor's responsibilities will include:
- Maintain the organized storage of inventory items in our single bay shop/warehouse to support our construction crews.
- Maintain above minimum stock levels in designated consumable items used by the construction crews.
- Assist the Engineering and Operations departments in procurement tasks as required to support project planning.
- Provide assistance to Engineering and Operations by preparing materials packages for upcoming jobs to be undertaken by installation crews.
- Verify all incoming shipments to be accurate by comparing the invoice to the order and ensure all goods are in excellent condition.
- Monitor and report any missing or lost inventory to management
- Properly pack items to be shipped according to company standards to ensure they arrive in excellent condition
- Organize and sort items on shelving, bins and overhangs according to company standards
- Assist in the allocation of materials used from the shop to specific jobs for costing purposes.
- Provide assistance to Engineering and Operations for product pickups and for organizing deliveries from our Edmonton operation to our BC operation.
- Use a fork truck to organize materials in the shop and to assist in unloading or loading deliveries.
**Qualifications**:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as many warehouse items are cumbersome and heavy
- Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- The ability to operate equipment such as skid steer, forklift will be considered an asset
- Clean driver’s license
- Knowledge and/or experience in the electrical industry
- Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
- Customer service mentality is beneficial to ensure a positive customer experience by shipping items to a high standard
- Strong sense of ownership
- Reside in the Greater Edmonton area
