The Specialist, Social Media will facilitate the development and execution of brand building social media strategies to engage and expand our social community. The incumbent will report to the Senior Manager, Public Relations & Sponsorships and will be based out of Subaru Canada’s head office in Mississauga, ON.

This is an 18-month Contract role commencing from the date of joining.

**Primary Job Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with the Senior Manager, Public Relations & Sponsorships (and team) to help expand reach and build awareness with new audiences via social media and partnership opportunities. This includes engaging influencers, building a brand ambassador network, supporting philanthropy and sponsorship initiatives, and facilitating social media activations at key events (e.g., Press Events, Auto Shows, Subaru Events, etc.).
- Support and facilitate Subaru Canada’s influencer program including strategy, sourcing influencers, negotiating contracts, overseeing edits and conducting post-mortem reporting.
- Collaborate with agency partner and in-house Digital Marketing Team to develop and curate organic social content as per a monthly content calendar. Key pillars include campaign assets, awards, events/sponsorships, vehicle launches and User Generated Content.
- The Specialist will be responsible for maintaining agency relationships and reviewing always-on content from the agency, providing feedback, approving content and managing the posting schedule accordingly.
- Collect, analyze, report on performance of Subaru Canada’s organic social media activities, offering solutions as required.
- Continually work to engage and improve our community management performance by regularly monitoring all channels to look for appropriate opportunities to participate in the conversations, improve response times and encourage more engagement.
- Support the Subaru Canada (SCI) Customer Care department to help to improve response time and workflow on SCI’s social media channels by responding to specific types of customer inquiries directly and/or rerouting more complex questions or complaints to appropriate CSRs as applicable.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree or Diploma in Digital Marketing, Advertising, Social Media or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience; knowledge of the automotive industry would be an asset.
- Demonstrated success in brand building and growing online social communities on platforms such as Meta, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, TikTok and Threads.
- Experience in social marketing, digital marketing, and public relations is required.
- Experience in creating engaging social content.
- Demonstrated experience in daily social moderation as well as crisis communications.
- Strong knowledge and experience using social media management tools such as Sprout Social and other similar platforms.
- Excellent grasp of social media analytics.
- Meta Blueprint Certifications (preferred).
- Adobe Creative Cloud (Nice to have).

**Physical Conditions**:

- Regular office environment. Sitting and using a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- 20% travel, flexible hours and overtime as required.
