Oil Production Planner

**Introduction**

The Oil Production Planner is responsible for production planning activities in the extraction, refining and post-processing operations at Motif. This role is responsible for translating customer forecasts for bulk oil into production demand and optimizing operations to meet these demands within operational constraints. The Oil Production Planner will supervise Oil Production Coordinators (shift schedule) and reports directly into the Senior Director of Manufacturing Operations.

**Position Overview**:

- Review and interpret bulk oil forecasts for brand, tolling and wholesale clients
- Develop and optimize production schedules to meet client demands
- Develop and implement dynamic scheduling tools that support accurate and efficient scheduling as Motif grows and increases in complexity
- Interface with the operations management, supply chain and commercial teams to confirm planning inputs incl; constraints, production rates and optimization opportunities
- Supervise and train the Oil Production Coordinators
- Coordinate with Supply Chain on biomass planning; provide direction on biomass procurement to support required oil production demands
- Plan and coordinate tolling activities
- Lead month end inventory reconciliations in the Extraction and Refining Departments for Health Canada and CRA reporting
- Track cannabinoid efficiency across the Extraction and Refining Departments
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Post secondary education in a related discipline
- 2+ years experience in production planning in a manufacturing/production environment
- Experience using ERP systems and/or cannabis tracking software (ie. Ample) is preferred
- Experience within Cannabis industry is considered an asset
- Strong analytic problem-solving skills
- Collaborative leadership
- Personal accountability to meet deadlines and expectations
- Expert communication skills, both verbal and written
- Organized with advanced administration skills
- Able to work autonomously, but also take direction when needed
- Ability to interact with cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong sense of urgency with a customer-centric mindset
- Required to pass a criminal background check
- Must be an open work permit holder, permanent resident or Canadian citizen and currently residing locally
