**Position Overview**:
Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Supervisor, Clinical Programs plays a key role in supporting a team of clinicians, providing supervision, guidance, and coaching to ensure the continuous improvement and effectiveness of the program. The supervisors, clinical managers, and clinical director work collaboratively to assess, treat, and support clients seeking help for substance, as well as concurrent mental health challenges.

This role ensures that clinical care is delivered with a trauma-informed approach, and coordinates with other supervisor to ensure seamless and consistent delivery of services after hours and on weekends. This includes close collaboration with the Supervisor responsible for the Addictions and Mental Health Support Worker team to ensure integration of care across various disciplines.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Contribute feedback to the evaluation of program content, making recommendations to the Clinical Managers for revisions and improvements, as required using evidence-based practices.
- On site leadership to clinical team members after hours and on weekends as needed.
- Supervision/clinical development of nursing and support worker staff as well as weekend primary clinician staff
- Supports clinical managers with providing ongoing feedback and input to performance review processes
- Supports the effective and thorough onboarding and orientation of new staff which may include clinical content of sessions, client expectations, administrative processes, maintenance of excellent referent communication, outcome measures and discharge planning/summaries.
- In addition, ensures clinicians understand and live the organizations mission, purpose and values while employing evidence-based therapy through a trauma informed lens.
- Participates with clinical manager and provides input into the recruitment and selection process for staff.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new processes or initiatives as directed and completes projects as assigned by the Clinical Director or Clinical Managers.
- Is attentive to and intervenes on any client safety issues and investigates client concerns and complaints as required.
- Completes detailed documentation and charting appropriately for clinical issues arising after hours and ensures proper communication to all teams.
- Participates in leadership meetings and consultation as required and makes recommendations on basis of the client progress
- Support a framework of accountability for clients in their recovery
- Engages in personal professional development, maintains appropriate professional associations, and provides current documentation to the Human Resources Department
- Provides supervision for students in placement at Bellwood
- Undertakes Quality Assurance activities as assigned including completion of outcome measures
- Other duties as assigned
- Engages in continued training provided by EHN, and other educational opportunities and benefits of interest to the clinician.

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree in social work, psychology or related discipline. Individuals with a BA degree in related field may be considered with commensurate experience and regulated with college.
- Minimum three to five years of mental health and addictions related experience; residential care experience considered an asset.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in leadership, including demonstrated knowledge of people management practices based on best practice.
- Membership and good standing with a regulatory college required
- Experience with a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities (ACT, CBT, DBT, CPT, exposure therapy, etc.) required
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills to intervene in clinically complex situations
- Ability to navigate ambiguity in a complex and fast-paced environment
