**Job Description**:
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Pastry Chef to join our team at our Italian and Portuguese bakery in Brampton. In this role, you’ll focus on creating a wide range of traditional pastries and sweets—from rich custard tarts and flaky croissants to specialty cakes and seasonal desserts. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with a passion for European pastry, creativity, and pride in their craft.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and sweets, with a focus on Italian and Portuguese traditions
- Produce high-quality items such as pastéis de nata, biscoitos, cannoli, tarts, and seasonal specialties
- Decorate and finish pastries with attention to detail and consistency
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary pastry area
- Follow recipes while also contributing ideas for new offerings
- Manage prep lists and daily production volumes to meet demand
- Ensure all items are prepared in a timely manner for opening and service

**Requirements**:

- 1-2 years of experience as a pastry chef or baker specializing in pastries (preferred)
- Familiarity with traditional Portuguese and Italian pastry is a strong asset
- Knowledge of doughs, fillings, custards, and finishing techniques
- Strong attention to detail, consistency, and quality
- Ability to follow recipes and production schedules
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
- Availability for early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills

We will provide training

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
