Context

The Organizational Development Project Manager is responsible for supporting with the design, implementation, of strategies and initiatives that enhance the overall performance and effectiveness of the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of human behaviour, organizational dynamics, and change management principles.

The Organizational Development Project Manager collaborates with various internal stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and develop interventions that support organizational growth and development.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive organizational assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address these issues.
  • Design and facilitate workshops, training programs, and team-building activities that promote employee development and collaboration.
  • Analyze and evaluate training and development programs to measure their impact and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Metrolinx HR and CPG’s Capacity and Capability team to develop and implement talent management and succession planning strategies.
  • Support project organizational change management initiatives, including communication plans, to ensure smooth implementation of organizational changes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in organizational development and implement relevant strategies and interventions.
  • Support the development of a Competency Framework and a training plan to bridge any gaps between future desired state and current competence levels and associated KPIs
  • Support the transition to a high-performance delivery organisation with complementary leadership and management development programs (using coaching, and other collaboration tools) to address assessed shortfalls
  • Manage the relationships with client and partner stakeholders in relation to learning and development
  • Any additional duties, as deemed necessary to support the deliverables and Key Activities during Annual Service Plan (ASP)

Profile/Skills

Technical Competencies

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience building agile and sustainable learning and development programs within a complex enterprise
  • Experience in organizational development, team building, leadership development, lean and agile methodologies
  • Strong understanding of organizational development principles, theories, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to analyze complex organizational issues and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and facilitating training programs and workshops.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify root causes of organizational issues and develop effective interventions.
  • Knowledge of change management principles and the ability to navigate and manage organizational change.
  • Proficient in using various organizational development tools and assessments.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills to drive change and gain buy-in from stakeholders.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong organizational skills with particular focus on identifying gaps in org structures and providing solutions to resolve them.

Education and Qualification

  • Post secondary education in Learning and Development or related discipline, Masters would be considered an asset
  • Certification in organizational development or a related field is highly desirable
  • Project Management or Professional business qualification is an asset
