Our mission is to help every business owner thrive, by providing financial insight and peace of mind in one seamless platform. From creatives to chiropractors, Bench helps thousands of small business owners and entrepreneurs master their financial lives. Because understanding your finances should be three things: simple, effortless, and affordable.

- **What does the Operations Planning department look like?**
Operations Planning is responsible for the movement of clients from the moment they onboard and throughout their Bench journey. As a Planning Coordinator, you will dive into the action and not only help us manage a large network of bookkeepers and clients, but also support work to improve the systems that we use to do this. You'll be a key contributor to driving the success & growth of a company that's changing what's possible in the industry. Reporting to one of our Operations Managers, you will have the opportunity to hone your skill set with the support of a high-performing, collaborative team. Are you up for the challenge?
**What you'll get up to**:
- Coordinating with Business Unit Owners to plan hiring and client transition schedules for Operations associates coming and going from the team, quickly adapting to events and changes that impact the available capacity in these plans.
- Owning the client allocation process from onboarding and throughout their Bench journey to ensure clients move smoothly between teams or functions.
- Supporting in maintaining and improving an Operations capacity model that incorporates many interrelated and complementary teams, and working closely with Operations Management and our Business Operations team to improve the processes that support this model.
- Making sure that our systems accurately reflect the state of Operations teams and support those teams in decision making that allows them to meet their financial commitments to the company.
**What you'll need**:
- **High Proficiency in Sheets**: You thrive in a spreadsheet environment and are proficient in all major google sheets (or Excel) functionalities.
- **Strong execution skills**:You keep yourself motivated and have a strong ability to execute on new ideas and repetitive tasks that support Bench's day-to-day operations.
- **Strong stakeholder management skills**: You're comfortable synthesizing feedback from a wide variety of stakeholders and can adeptly balance conflicting priorities. You ensure your stakeholders are always well informed of capacity status and decision making.
- **Communication**: You are able to succinctly summarize your findings and recommendations. Your stakeholders will represent a diverse group of skills and experience, so you will need to be highly skilled at crafting communications which 'fit' the audience.
**It could be an even better fit if you have**:
- _A nose for value: _You can take a big-picture perspective to identify and stay focused on what's most important
- _Appreciation for systems: _You can connect the dots and figure out the best solution for Bench, not just the stakeholders you're working with
- _Intellectual curiosity: _It's not enough for you to know the _what_ - you want to know the _why. _You are energized by challenging problems, and are persistent/ resourceful in your efforts to solve them
- _A bias towards action:_ You are highly motivated, proactive, comfortable with change and ambiguity. You have a humble, team-player attitude and are ready to pitch in wherever you are needed most
**What you'll get**:
- This is a full-time, 12-month contract position.
- At Bench we share information freely and openly whenever possible. The salary range for this role is $45,360 - $56,700 per year, depending on experience.
- In addition, we offer an extended benefits package that includes paid vacation, unlimited paid flex days, stock options, and full health, dental, and vision.
- You'll get unlimited access to Bravely, our confidential, on-demand, 1:1 professional coaching service, and access to Inkblot Therapy, our virtual counselling service to support mental wellbeing.
