Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

- Accountable for the recruitment, training, performance, and management of Swoop Crew Schedulers and support staff to ensure consistent and efficient service is provided to all internal and external stakeholders while supporting the operation;
- Responsible for ensuring Crew Schedulers adherence to Transport Canada regulations, Swoop policies, labour agreements, and internal standards and procedures;
- Oversee daily scheduling requirements of all crew members and ensure adequate crew coverage of all positions;
- Development of execution of Crew Scheduling budgets and workforce plans;
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of Crew Scheduler training and standard operating procedures;
- Monitor and make recommendations for new processes, tools, system functionality, and/or new technology required to support the team and the operation;
- Represent the interests of Crew Scheduling in all interdepartmental meetings and projects;
- Work collaboratively with other leaders and teams within the Operations Control Center (OCC) to maintain safe on-time operations;
- Assist in the development of comprehensive crew solutions to offset major operational disruptions and irregular operations;
- Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of principles related to Fatigue Risk Management Systems (FRMS);
- Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
- This position requires regular in-person presence at the WestJet Campus in Calgary.

Qualifications / Skills:

- Excellent working knowledge of Transport Canada Flight and Duty Regulations.
- Previous management or supervisory experience highly desired.
- Strong decision-making, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated success in establishing respect and credibility through action.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and implementation skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work flexible and varied shifts as required.
- Experience in Labour Relations an asset.
- Proven track record as a team builder and a leader.
- Sabre Crew Trac and Workday experience preferred. Additional experience working with other Crew Scheduling systems (such as Merlot/AIMS) will be considered.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft programs (Microsoft Teams, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint).
