Southlake Foundation is in search of a creative, highly motivated, data savvy, and results-driven annual giving expert to join our team as the Manager of Direct Marketing (Annual Giving). Reporting to the Director of Strategic Marketing Communications and Brand Development, the Manager of Direct Marketing will leverage their hands-on experience and demonstrated success in digital and direct marketing programs (including direct mail, lottery, memorials, and tribute programs) to grow revenue, acquire new donors, and drive retention. Your attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and industry knowledge of annual giving best practices, will make you an incredible asset to our team. Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation

The Position
The Manager of Direct Marketing (Annual Giving)’s purpose at the Foundation is to successfully grow and retain the direct marketing portfolio. Annual Giving is a critical source of undesignated income for the Foundation. By fostering relationships with donors who give up to $5,000 annually, the Manager, Direct Marketing also helps develop a pipeline of potential donors for the Foundation’s Major Gifts and Planned Giving teams, cultivating donor loyalty across all segments and monthly giving.
This role also manages and supports one direct report - the Officer, Annual Giving. Together, they will execute the annual operating plan of the Direct Marketing (aka Annual Giving) portfolio to achieve revenue and operating goals.

**Qualifications**
- A University Degree, College Diploma, or a combination of comparable skills and experience
- A minimum of six (6) years of progressive fundraising experience in a non-profit environment with a focus on the management of an annual giving/direct marketing program and experience in digital and direct mail, with a track record of annual fund growth and success
- Advanced knowledge, experience, and use (4 years minimum) of Raiser’s Edge with the ability to: create/amend queries, pull lists, export lists, upload lists, and manage/amend donor records
- Past supervisory experience an asset
- Experience using Luminate with the ability to pull relevant data for tracking/reporting
- Experience working with a Direct Marketing Agency partner is an asset
- Exemplary project management and organizational skills with a focus on attention to detail
- Deadline and measurable results-oriented
- Knowledge of non-profit/annual giving best practices and a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning in your field
- Creative thinker
- Demonstrated ability to conceive and implement successful list-building strategies
- Data savvy with the ability to build and maintain tracking reports/dashboards to analyze data, extract meaningful insights and KPI analysis, and make recommendations throughout the year to ensure program success
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with senior leaders, physicians, etc., effectively and professionally
- Demonstrates cross-functional collaboration in all aspects of your work
- Proven ability to create, track budgets to monitor progress to plan to attain financial and program goals within prescribed timelines
- Proven ability to exercise diplomacy and good judgment
- Proficient in the use of all corporate productivity tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- CFRE is an asset (or other related designations).
