**Safety Coordinator**

**We are looking for someone who is passionate about safety, leading change and future leadership positions.**

This position will work out of our **KENT Halifax location - 225 Chain Lake Drive, Halifax NS.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Developing Standardized Safe Operating Procedures.
- Developing and analyzing leading and lagging indicators and developing action plans to improve our performance.
- Completing ergonomic assessments and leading ergonomic improvements.
- Assisting in incident investigations.
- Identifying and implementing safety best practices.
- Leading safety discussions at all levels of the organization.
- Onboarding and safety training (orientation) for new hires.

**Requirements**:

- Post secondary education
- Excellent communication skills. Confident having difficult conversations.
- Agile, organized and able to manage conflicting priorities.
- Must have advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products
- Work with mínimal supervision.
- Able to work under pressure with strict time frames
