Role Overview: As a Behavioral Support Worker (BSW), you hold a pivotal role in guiding and supporting individuals within IHAC's compassionate community. Your dedication ensures their safety, while your compassionate approach empowers them to achieve their fullest potential. Collaborating seamlessly within a dynamic team, you will administer medications, manage complex behaviors, and create an inclusive environment that uplifts all.
Key Responsibilities
As a dedicated BSW, you will provide essential support and guidance to clients entrusted to IHAC’s care. Your role encompasses ensuring safety, fostering active community integration, maintaining households, and assisting clients in attaining their personal aspirations. Collaborating closely within a dynamic team, you will administer medications, facilitate conflict resolution, and ensure the overall well-being of everyone in our care.
**Qualifications**:
- Mandatory Accredited Post Secondary education in a relevant field of Human Services.
- A minimum of 2 Years' experience in Community Disability Services or similar roles.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
- Clean Driver abstracts and document proof of insurance.
- Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Intervention Record Check.
- Demonstrated aptitude in working with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in collaborative teamwork.
- Expertise in working with diverse or vulnerable population.
- Flexibility to accommodate various shifts, including weekends and overnights.
