GPS Tracking Canada is hiring for an Account Manager position in our Scarborough, Ontario, Canada Office. The Account Manager will have previous experience and will focus on new account penetration, account growth, account and relationship development, mostly through telephone selling.

**Who we are**:
At GPS Tracking Canada, we help companies with vehicles save money on fuel costs, labour costs and increase customer service. We provide vehicle tracking and other vehicle technology solutions that report live and historical vehicle locations as well as many more features that measure vehicle use, employee productivity and customer service.

**Requirements**:

- Must have a car to be able to drive to the office and to client appointments in the GTA

**Responsibilities of the role include**:

- Responsible for maintaining customer base and growing target territories/segments by following up on leads provided as well as generating leads - this entails research and cold calling
- Engage existing clients in an account management role to inquire whether they are happy with the service, or uncover areas of dissatisfaction or training that need to be addressed.
- Document how the clients are using the service, along with areas of satisfaction or dissatisfaction. If the clients are happy with the service, then identify opportunities to build the client relationship with add-on technology service sales. Additionally, ask for Google reviews and referral business. Engage the Client Service department to address areas of dissatisfaction.
- Understand how client purchasing needs will vary from company to company. Where applicable, develop account management strategies that will meet the needs of different accounts.
- While you’ll be working on specific detailed tasks for individual clients or on a client company basis, you must approach your role from the broad view of helping grow the business on an account by account basis. You will approach the task management of your work day from the perspective of client account management. Ie. You’ll not lose site of the big picture of client account management and growing the business, by getting bogged down with specific tasks.
- Responsible for maintaining strong knowledge of products and services by reading product announcements and updates, attending training and completing online training modules
- Perform periodic competitive analysis to help strengthen the company’s position in the market
- Provide back up to Sales Reps when out of office
- Record daily sales activity and provide sales activity reports on a weekly basis
- Accurately record sales activity information on an internal CRM system and maintain up to date client records
- Have experience with technology and account management
- Have an enthusiastic, team approach to engaging prospects and clients to grow the business
- Work effectively with other staff members to deliver the installed base revenues and manage the account relationships
- Effectively contribute to the annual budgeting process in terms of goal definition, strategies, tactics, and metrics of success
- Develop effective working relationships with supplier partners

**Business and Personal Attributes**:

- Previous experience in installed base sales or account management
- The ability to comprehend and explain technical products
- Excellent organizational skills, the ability to work quickly, under pressure, understand priorities and manage multiple priorities are essential
- Excellent time management skills. You are efficient in accomplishing tasks, while always paying attention to the big picture.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including proper spelling and grammar are essential.
- Most of the engagement with prospects and clients will be through telephone selling, so you feel comfortable speaking on the phone, engaging prospects and clients in friendly conversations.
- Demonstrate initiative, team player who can work with mínimal supervision or direction;
- Ability to ask customers a series of open-ended questions to develop a good understanding of their business and operating issues, and to translate that knowledge into an effective solution proposal.

This opportunity includes a base salary and commission.
