_Are you an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Educator ready to take the next step in your career?_

Willowbrae Academy is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic **Team Lead** to join our **Crestmont location - 40 Crestridge Common SW.**As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for guiding and mentoring a team of early childhood educators, ensuring high-quality care and education for children in the Academy. This position will be scheduled to work **closing shifts** at the Academy.

**Qualifications**
- Level 3 certification
- Valid Criminal Record Check w/ Vulnerable Sector check (within past 6 months)
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Two professional references

**Required Attributes and Skills**
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills
- Ability to motivate/empower others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Creative and flexible problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Exhibit positive and professional work habits such as punctuality, dependability, and confidentiality
- Knowledge of Flight Curriculum Framework
- Knowledge of a variety of early childhood education philosophies, such as Montessori, Reggio Emilia/emergent, and High Scope

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following**:

- Create an inspiring team environment with open communication
- Support frontline educators with classroom management and problem solving
- Mentor new employees (New Employee Orientation Program)
- Listen to team members’ feedback and resolve/escalate accordingly
- Ensure requested data and metrics are provided accurately and timely
- Act as alternate supervisor in the absence of the management team
- Working in ratio as needed for break coverage or unexpected educator absences

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

- Child care: 2 years (required)
