We are looking for a Clamp Truck Operator/Receiver with a valid Counterbalance Propane license for our Ancaster location. This position will be reporting to the Corrugator Supervisor.

**Broad Purpose**:
To safely operate the clamp truck and receive rolls as well as transfer product as per requirements and company quality policy

**General Job Duties**:

- Will be required to be flexible to work either steady shift or a three (3) shift rotation as business needs dictate
- Receive all incoming rolls and enter into the system as required
- Must perform daily preventative maintenance checks on clamp truck/forklift as per safety inspection requirements
- Will rotate to back-up and assist Corrugator Clamp Operator when required to follow scheduled line up as per Supervisor
- Will rotate to back up and assist Corrugator by following instructions from Single Face Operator, Knifeman and Double Back Operator, when required and work as a team member
- When required supply paper to the corrugator wet end and use butt rolls of paper whenever possible
- Visually inspect all rolls for any non-conformances
- Make starch and add additives,
- Perform quality checks when offloading and delivering paper to the corrugator or the storage area
- Perform roll stock inventory as required
- Follow all required procedures
- Assist in keeping sufficient paper at the machine so that it does not stop from lack of paper when required
- Report all problems to your supervisor when they occur
- Clamp/Forklift permit required
- Other duties as assigned

**Safety Responsibility and Accountability**:

- Follow equipment specific physical lock out tag out procedure
- Mobile equipment operator to ensure daily operator checklist is completed before use. I.e. Clamp truck, Forklift, Elevated work platforms.
- Report all hazards / problems to your Supervisor when they occur.

Other available tools are when hazard rating is low.
- Pre-use inspection form
- Use Manager plus and place a work request
- Use of hazard reporting form
- Report injury / incident to your Supervisor immediately
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety act, and Good housekeeping practices.
- Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) - Gloves, sleeves, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, Hi
- viz vest in Shipping/warehouse
- Abide by all plant rules, safety rules and regulations of the Company
- Keep fire equipment and exits clear all time
- Zero Tolerance - Workplace Violence and Harassment: Refer to the policy posted on the H&S board.

**Education**:
Minimum Grade 10

Basic Math

**Essential Skills/Qualifications**:
Previous manufacturing experiences an asset

Previous Clamp/Forklift experience an asset

Machine operation skills

Organization skills

Good communication

Flexibility to work rotating shifts

Team Player

Self starter
