**We are looking for a shipper and receiver to join our team in Hamilton.**

**Why Sanimax**
- 22.35$/hour starting rate. 23.85$ after probation
- Full-time (8.5 hours/day, 42.5 hours/week) and permanent position
- Evening Shift: 11h00-20h00

**Position overview**:
Responsible for unloading raw material and transferring into tractor trailer in an efficient and safe manner to facilitate pickup from the customer. All incoming material is directly transferred into tractor trailer and shipped out.

The employee will follow all health/safety and quality standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Safely and efficiently shunt trucks in and out of trans-load area
- Reporting vehicle defects in Guide TI
- Incoming inspection of raw materials received for contamination, foreign objects, and rendering exclusions
- Maintain fat and bone /organic dump sheet and product traceability
- Generate Bills of Lading for fat and bone / organic loads. Include the date, product type, and destination.

**Main Operations**:

- Forklift operation - Includes daily pre-op checklist
- Dump trailer unloading - involves emptying purpose built bulk dump trucks into receiving pit. Filling out required paperwork.
- Truck shunting - Includes backing single unit and tractor-trailer combinations into receiving area to be unloaded and loaded. Filling out required paperwork.
- Loading trailers - Includes operating screw conveyor system to transfer raw material.
- Normal equipment maintenance - includes daily equipment check on forklift, pumps, trucks, steam lines, conveyor.

**Planning/Inventory Management**:

- Make decisions in regards to timing of duties to ensure efficient flow of product
- Interface on an ongoing basis with the appropriate internal departments/employees (ie. Material Processing, Transportation, QA) to ensure materials flow in and out in a timely manner and meet customer specifications - also includes documenting any deviations

**Key Qualifications for Position**:

- Technical knowledge
- Physical ability to climb up and down ladders and stairs
- Flexible and able to deal with change including scheduling changes
- Previous truck shunting / forklift experience an asset
- Able to work a steady afternoon shift.
