Corrugator Utility Operator

We are looking for Corrugator Utility Operator for our Ancaster location. This position will be reporting to the Corrugator Supervisor.

To safely and efficiently operate and maintain the equipment/machinery and act as relief to all corrugator positions to produce quality products as per company quality policy and Production Standards

**General Job Duties**:

- Follow instructions of all operators, work as a team and be a team member
- Visually inspect and remove all non-conforming products
- Provide relief to **all** corrugated positions as required, and have the flexibility to make a smooth transition from one position to another
- Required to complete the necessary training to obtain a current Forklift and Clamp Truck license
- Perform quality checks before and during runs
- Make starch and add additives,
- Prepare machine for shift startup and shutdown when required which may require overtime
- Perform housekeeping as required ie: clean-up conveyor and rollers
- Perform cleaning/blow off of the slitter-scorer-knife before PM performed by maintenance mechanic
- Follow all ISO and HACCP procedures
- Report all problems to Operator or your supervisor when they occur
- Daily clean up and P.M. at end of shift
- Other duties as assigned

**Safety Responsibility and Accountability**:

- Follow equipment specific physical lock out tag out procedure
- Mobile equipment operator to ensure daily operator checklist is completed before use. I.e. Clamp truck, Forklift, Elevated work platforms.
- Report all hazards / problems to your Supervisor when they occur.

Other available tools are when hazard rating is low.
- Pre-use inspection form
- Use Manager plus and place a work request
- Use of hazard reporting form
- Report injury / incident to your Supervisor immediately
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety act, and Good housekeeping practices.
- Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) - Gloves, sleeves, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, Hi
- viz vest in Shipping/warehouse
- Abide by all plant rules, safety rules and regulations of the Company
- Keep fire equipment and exits clear all time
- Zero Tolerance - Workplace Violence and Harassment: Refer to the policy posted on the H&S board.

**Education**:
Minimum Grade 10

Basic Math

**Essential Skills/Qualifications**:
Previous manufacturing experiences an asset

Machine operation skills

Organization skills

Good communication

Flexibility to work rotating shifts

Team Player

Self starter

Experience operating forklift and clamp truck
