Job Overview:
Custan Food Group is a specialty food importer and distributor. We are a fast-paced distributor servicing the retail market with specialty foods from around the world. Our goal is to bring the best products to our customers in the most efficient and timely manner. As a Receiver, you are responsible for ensuring products are processed efficiently and effectively.

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, stack, and retrieve materials. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the smooth flow of operations in our warehouse.

**Responsibilities**:

- Unloading of goods from various delivery vehicles
- Operate a forklift to load and unload materials from trucks or storage areas
- Pull Purchaser Orders from Purchasing office and accurately match with Vendor supplied paperwork, verify received products against paperwork (ex. quantity, traceability numbers, best before dates, etc.)
- Transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse
- Stack and organize products in the appropriate storage locations
- Perform inventory counts and ensure accuracy of stock levels
- Inspect and maintain the forklift equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movement and update records
- Assist in other warehouse tasks as needed, shipping/receiving, or order picking

**Requirements**:

- Completion of High school or equivalent
- Minimum 2+ years experience as a Forklift Operator or similar role
- Valid forklift certification/license
- Proficiency in operating different types of forklifts, including reach trucks
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for forklift operation
