Net Zero Waste Abbotsford, a division of Evergen Infrastructure Corporation, is a leader in composting and anerobic digestion operations that strive to make local communities cleaner and greener by producing renewable energy, compost, natural fertilizer and soil enhancement products from organic wastes. Our operations play an important part in achieving a sustainable economy and minimization of greenhouse gas emissions.
Our composting facility in Abbotsford is currently seeking an **Equipment Operator** to join our talented and dedicated team.
**The Position**
In this role, you will be operating wheel loaders, screeners, sweeper trucks, and shredders as well as loading trucks. You will also be assisting with ensuring the compost site is clean at all times.
**What You Need**
- Experience operating equipment or a desire to learn and mechanical ability
- Strong commitment to continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance
- Initiative and ability to work well independently and with others
- Conscientious and strong work ethic,
- Desire and aptitude to learn
- Minimum Grade 12 education
- A valid Class 5 license in good standing
Preference will be given to people with previous labour experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, or construction and/or exposure to heavy equipment operation.
