We respect and honour people's stories as they share their experiences, perspectives, and beliefs in the direction we are taking as an organization; we view this as a strengths-based process, where we build upon the multitude and diversity of existing strengths. **Prince George** **Native Friendship Centre**: - "_We are a dynamic and compassionate team facilitating individual, family, and community growth, well-being and mutual understanding through the "power of friendship"._ Come join our team as a: **Adult Outreach Coordinator** **House of Friendship - Outreach Program** **SCOPE OF POSITION** The primary focus of this role will be to coordinate and oversee outreach that supports adults who are part of Community Living BC and specific support to individuals with adverse abilities. Support individuals on their journey to interdependent living, employment readiness, health/wellness needs, and social/cultural development. This role will supervise the Adult Life Skills Workers that provide outreach in the community and provide day to day support, crisis support, referrals to community-based programming, skill training, and development. Additionally, this role will oversee the implementation of our Housing Outreach and Mental Health supports that are based out of the House of Friendship location, The Coordinator will lead a client-centered, culturally based support approach and have an in-depth understanding of community based resources to connect for engagement. The scope of the services will be provided to individuals who may be experiencing homelessness, therefore a commitment to understand historical impacts of colonization and systemic racism is critical in leading this team. This position requires the individual to have an ability to risk manage for employee and client safety, as well as a commitment to ensuring a harm reduction approach is led in the delivery of services. **QUALIFICATIONS** - Degree or 2-year Diploma in Social Work, combined with 5 years of related experience; 2 years of supervisory experience or a combination of education and experience; - Awareness of community services, resources, and systems; - First Aid, Crisis Intervention Prevention CPI, Suicide Intervention, and Food Safe certification; - Basic computer skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills; - Demonstrated knowledge of the Child, Family and Community Services Act; - Possess a demonstrated ability to work with a diverse clientele; - Knowledge, sensitivity, and awareness of the history, and culture of the Indigenous population; - Ability to function in a high pressure/high stress environment; - Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends and to be a part of the on-call crisis response system; - Excellent oral and written communication and computer skills; - Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize; - Valid Class 5 Class is required. A Class 4 Driver's License, and/or the willingness to obtain; and - Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a clear criminal record check. **Prince George Native Friendship Center** Prince George, BC
