  • Provide opportunities for the holistic development of learners—cognitive, emotional, physical,

and social.

  • Develop lesson plans, learning materials, and classroom resources tailored to learner needs and

local contexts.

  • Support learners with diverse needs and maintain accurate tracking of attendance, engagement,

Program Administration and Coordination

  • Provide leadership within the Tsay Keh Dene Adult Learning Program, helping to achieve

community learning goals that reflect lifelong and life-wide learning values.

  • Design and deliver tailor-made programs that respond to community priorities—such as trades

readiness, digital literacy, land-based skills, entrepreneurship, and post-secondary transition.

  • Collaborate with employment, training, and economic development departments to connect

learning opportunities with sustainable livelihoods.

  • Build and maintain partnerships with post-secondary institutions, government agencies, and

local businesses to strengthen educational pathways and employment outcomes.

  • Research, develop, and evaluate innovative programs that meet emerging labour market

demands and community aspirations.

  • Support proposal writing and secure funding for adult education initiatives; prepare reports for

funders as required.

accountability standards.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential student data and records.

  • Ensure the learning facility remains welcoming, organized, and conducive to creativity and

collaboration.

Assessment and Evaluation

achievement.

  • Use varied assessment tools—including portfolios, projects, presentations, and experiential

learning—to capture growth and learning holistically.

  • Provide timely, constructive feedback that promotes self-reflection, resilience, and motivation.

  • Maintain accurate academic and attendance records in accordance with Tsay Keh Dene

Education policies and funding agency requirements.

  • Identify learning gaps and implement personalized strategies or refer learners to appropriate

supports.

  • Engage learners in self-assessment and goal setting to build autonomy and lifelong learning

habits.

  • Incorporate cultural learning outcomes into evaluation frameworks, recognizing traditional

knowledge and skills alongside academic performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent qualification in adult education; OCT certification or

comparable provincial credentials preferred.
