Summary:
Skyline is a growing hospitality company that owns and operates a number of properties in the US. The company also maximizes the value of its excess land through development. Skyline is traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, and is a reporting issuer in Canada. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, you will be responsible for Skyline’s controls as well as financial reporting.

The Position:
Reporting to the VP Finance, the Financial Analyst duties will include, but not be limited to:

- Internal Controls (20%):

- Maintain documentation on risks, controls and governance to ensure global SOX compliance, including internal control documentation, flow diagrams and related narratives
- Act as primary liaison with consultants, external and internal auditors to complete compliance reviews
- Leading the implementation of Skyline’s internal controls plan and presenting relevant information to our hotel and resort staff on an annual basis in order to contribute to company-wide learning and development
- Financial Operations (50%):

- Prepare journal entries and perform month-end reconciliations, being a key player in the month-end close process
- Performing month-end, quarterly and annual reviews of subsidiaries’ financial statements and related schedules, presenting results to management
- Lead the forecast for assigned legal entities as part of the overall FP&A process
- Financial analyses as needed, including regular variance analysis and tracking actual to budget
- Oversight of the cash management process for assigned legal entities, including cash balances, payments, and bank reconciliations
- Preparation and filing of assigned legal entities’ HST remittances
- External Reporting (20%):

- Assist in the preparation quarterly reporting, including the MD&A, Board and Investor presentations, Barnea (for Israeli reporting requirements), annual information forms, and others as needed
- Preparation of assigned legal entities financial reporting packages
- Verification of debt covenants
- Updates to amortization schedules
- ERP implementation (10%):

- Participate in the implementation of the organization’s new ERP as needed, including testing and documentation

Experience and Qualifications:

- A bachelor's degree in accounting, working towards the CPA designation
- 1-3 years’ work experience
- Full-cycle accounting experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis
- High degree of computer literacy, especially MS Excel
- Knowledge of Power BI and MS Dynamics 365 is an asset
- Strong communication and analytical skills, with intellectual curiosity and attention to detail
