As the successful incumbent, you will use your previous experience in accounting to compile, analyze and reconcile financial accounts and records, while resolving discrepancies with internal and external client groups and improving internal processes as needed.

The Financial Analyst, reporting to the Manager IT Finance, supports the IT Finance Manager in day-to-day operations including invoice processing, Prepaids and Capital file maintenance and other ad-hoc requests as needed.

**You’re great at**:

- Prepare financial information and reports on a monthly, quarterly, annually and _ad hoc_ basis, for the department, management and/or regulatory authorities.
- Complete various account reconciliations, collection and managing reinsurance payables and receivables
- Booking of facility association
- Compile, analyze, and reconcile financial accounts and records, and identify and resolve discrepancies or problems and/or recommend solutions.
- Ensure all accounting entries are entered accurately and in a timely manner; Maintain and recommend improvements to reporting and internal control procedures.
- Assist with the preparation of regulatory filings.
- Understand and compile statistics reporting (i.e. underwriting, billing);

**You have**:

- 3+ years of overall relevant experience
- Post-secondary education in a financial discipline or related field
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Lotus Notes; Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet software (i.e. Excel); PC and Mainframe experience an asset.
- Working knowledge of Accounting/Insurance Systems.
