**Key Responsibilities**:

- Safely unload hot oil form the delivery trucks.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
- Inspect and grease asphalt conveyors, and ensure equipment is functioning properly.
- Shovel asphalt and other plant materials.
- Use loader or handheld tools to remove excess materials from the Grizzley.
- Operate front end loader, skid steer or other heavy equipment.
- Perform plant maintenance and repairs, including welding tasks.
- Perform set up and take down of plants at different job sites as required.
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, sub-contractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
- Work with Safety Department to investigate damage, incidents or near misses in the worksite, and ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the Company’s Safety Program.
- Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the well being of others.
- Perform other related duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- 1 to 2 years as an Asphalt Plant Labourer, would be an asset.
- Physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
- Knowledge of Loaders and Skid Steers.
- Basic knowledge of mechanics and equipment repair.
- Knowledge of welding equipment, tools and methods.
- Must meet and comply with Drug and Alcohol testing requirements.
- Availability to work both out-of-town and remote locations.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Asphalt Plant specific training provided.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from plant site.
- Must be willing to work at night.
- Must comply with the Company's drug and alcohol testing policy.
