**KWE IS CURRENTLY HIRING A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER**
KWE is currently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to work out of our Montreal, Quebec location. If you have extensive experience with Business development platforms and are ready for your next challenge, we want to hear from you.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible in developing new/existing business, expanding market area and increasing productivity by creating new ideas and strategies to generate revenue.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Formal Academic training in International Business or related field and 5 + years’ experience within international/3PL sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of international shipping terms, Bill of Lading procedures, air cargo documentation, liabilities, and insurance.
- Ability to read, analyze, and respond to common inquiries or complains from customer, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to write speeches and presentations.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
**DETAILS OF THE JOB**
- Generate new business and maintain existing client base by providing a first place of contact for client inquiries and complaints. Ensure customer satisfaction for ongoing account maintenance and preservation.
- Develop a comprehensive business plan and strategy for the Canadian sales team pertaining to Western Canada.
- Organize and lead weekly, monthly and yearly Sales Meetings.
- Present competitive rates to prospective clients and help prepare sales staff for presentations.
- Grow all aspects of the Western Canada region including shipment count, tonnage and gross profit for all modes of transportation.
- Monitor SENS activity and measure pipeline goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership to other departments in sales and service areas.
- Communicate and advise international offices of our market capabilities.
- Review and research market changes; develop and suggest new marketing strategies to increase awareness and promote corporate image.
- Mentor all sales staff, assist (when needed) in their work assignments and performance development.
- Ensure customer retention by monitoring communications between staff and clients.
- Lead proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
