Customer Service Representative

Our Sales department is undergoing a rapid transformation, and we are currently seeking a dedicated, confident, and enthusiastic individual looking for an opportunity to learn our industry. You will provide exceptional customer service by asking the right questions to effectively understand our customers’ unique needs and/or issues, know who to approach to determine the most appropriate solutions and successfully closing the loop with each customer. In addition, you will be attuned to additional business opportunities.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Answer incoming customer calls quickly and efficiently
- Consult with customers and evaluate needs to determine best options
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with customers through open and interactive communication
- Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives as quickly as possible
- Keep records of customer interactions
- Go the ‘extra mile’ to engage customers
- Escalate issues as required, ie to Operations Manager/Sales Manager
- Provide additional service options where appropriate
- **Municipal resident CSR: Answering incoming inquiries about their waste, recycling & organics collection.**_ Inquiries include:_
- _Education on what can and cannot go into the program_
- _Working with dispatch to re-schedule missed pickups_
- _Scheduling delivery of new collection bins_
**Job Requirements**:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, while being adaptable to changing priorities
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
- Demonstrate empathy, sincerity and integrity when interacting with customers
- Display a positive, ‘can do’ attitude towards your work
- Self-motivated, goal oriented while having the ability to work independently and in a team environment with the desire to go above and beyond to contribute to the Team’s success
**Schedule**:
8-hour shift
Monday to Friday
No weekends
