This position is in Dartmouth, NS however our head office is located in Coquitlam BC, with branches in Calgary, AB and Burlington, ON.
**Job Summary**
The Project Coordinator, working independently or with mínimal guidance, provides technical and or management support for construction projects including safety and quality control and also assists operations staff to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
**Key Interactions (Internal and External)**
Project team, owners, consultants, sub-trades, branch management and support staff.
**Responsibilities**:
- Implements and maintains project start-up systems and procedures including master filing systems, project billing, cost accountants and project directory.
- Performs general administrative and record keeping functions including the review and distribution of documentation, preparation of correspondence, meeting minutes, maintenance of files, logs, drawings, specifications, submittals and RFI documentation.
- Supports subcontract management/procurement process through tendering and awarding work or supply materials. Assisting with the review of processing invoices and progress claims, assisting with the review of documents and inquiries.
- Coordinates the change order management process by securing prices from the vendor, subcontractor, reviewing and inputting the data for the project manager to review, submitting change order requests for approval and following through with subcontractor change orders or purchase orders as directed.
- Facilitates the tracking of project milestones, assists with the creation and maintenance of the project schedule and inputs and updates the baseline schedule.
- Prepares all documents for project close-out and submission to the customer; also responsible for ensuring that sites are left clean and tidy prior to the demobilizing from site.
- Other duties as per the Project Manager's request.
- Manage all project related warehouse inventory, stage and allocate to projects to meet milestones.
**Education and Experience**
- Five plus years of related work experience in the telecommunications field or relevant education and experience.
**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents drawings and specifications.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current construction practices and methodology.
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple project stakeholders, anticipate the stakeholders needs and proactively identify solutions.
- Capable of identifying construction challenges and providing creative solutions and resolutions.
- Strong organizational and planning skills and be able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong computer skills with an aptitude for learning new programs and familiarity with scheduling software.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
