**Job description**

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to manage the multi-team development and operational delivery of a large portfolio of video-based IoT products and solutions by understanding business requirements, managing changes, removing roadblocks, and communicating broadly with multiple functional groups and stakeholders.

Using proven methodologies, processes and practices it will be your responsibility to work closely with Product Development, Sales/Marketing and Operations teams in order to coordinate and ensure on-time product releases.

Reporting to the Head of Product, you will collaborate with multiple cross functional teams throughout the company in order to ensure that all Product goals and objectives are achieved on-time and on-budget. Your work will enable some of the world’s most advanced surveillance systems to be deployed by private and government organizations around the world.

**Role and responsibilities**
- Be the face of customers by understanding and representing their needs and product requirements
- Lead efforts to ensure a smooth transition of deliverables from product development to mass production ensuring all stated product requirements are met
- Analyze competitors’ products and explore new ways to improve the company’s products
- Work with the development team to ensure that product requirements are understood
- Translate product’s strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development
- Define the product vision, product roadmap, and product strategy
- Support engineering team to ensure customer satisfaction goals are met
- Work within an Agile product development methodology
- Coordinate product releases with marketing, sales, operations and engineering teams
- Ensure that user story content and prioritization is aligned to larger strategic objectives
- Work closely with R&D teams to create and structure product data such as part numbers, ‘Bills Of Materials’ BOMs and manufacturing packages, using a revision-based process
- Coordinate all deliverables within a project schedule, assisting all departments as necessary to ensure timely delivery
- Work with project management software and methods like Kanban
- Develop and maintain the manufacturing and quality control aspects of product lifecycle management of assigned products as they move through the typical stages of their life: development and introduction, growth, maturity/stability, and decline.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in an Product Management role in a manufacturing environment with electro/mechanical products.
- Experience managing technical products from inception to launch
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, effective communicator at all organizational levels.
- Highly organized, good attention to detail, capable of multi-tasking and following through on tasks to completion.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple groups towards the completion of a project.
- Possess strong communication skills (both written and verbal), able to interact with all stakeholders and act as a professional representative of the corporation.
- Eagerness to operate in a dynamic fast paced environment with an ability to drive change.
- Knowledge of Surface-mount technology and PCBA production/testing is desirable.
- Knowledge of video encoding and decoding products and technology is desirable.
- Proficient in MS Office App, Office 365 and a willingness to learn and utilize new tools within the organization.
- Experience with ERP / MRP / PLM software.
- Experience with SaaS or Opex based products/services
- Bilingualism (En/Fr)
