**JOB SUMMARY**

Under the supervision of the Director of Manufacturing Engineering, the Technical Project Manager will be responsible for managing the team responsible for the design, equipment installation and implementation of new automated production lines, as well as technical support for production.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Project Team Management and Development**:

- **Team coordination**:Supervise and coordinate the activities of the project team, ensuring that objectives are met.
- **Budget and schedule management**:Manage project budgets and schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
- **Promote the Metaltech-Omega culture**:Maintain a positive work atmosphere while communicating company objectives to the team.
- **Skills development**:Reinforce team members' professional development plan (PDP) through training, mentoring and coaching, in order to improve their performance.
- **Strategic Alignment**: Work closely with the Director of Manufacturing Engineering to align projects with the company's strategic objectives.
- **Recruitment and selection**:Participate in the selection and integration of new employees. Plan necessary replacements.

**Design, installation and technical support**:

- **R&D**:Lead research, development and design initiatives for innovative new machines, systems and equipment in collaboration with R&D teams and subcontractors.
- **3D modeling**:Supervise 3D modeling and the creation of manufacturing drawings for machines and custom parts.
- **Implementation**:Plan and manage the implementation of new automated production lines, respecting deadlines, quality standards and industrial safety standards.
- **Problem solving**: Identify and resolve technical and operational problems that may arise during the design, installation, and production phases.
- **Compliance**:Ensure that equipment complies with applicable laws and regulations.
- **Technical support**:Provide ongoing technical support to the production team to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- **Communication**:Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including suppliers and internal teams.

- **Performance Optimization**: Use and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to maximize operational efficiency.
- **Technology Innovation**:Adopt innovative technologies to facilitate team’s work and improve efficiency.
- **Automation Projects**: Actively participate in factory automation projects in collaboration with the maintenance team.
- **Teamwork**:Strengthen cooperation between project and maintenance teams and optimize documentation transfer.

**REQUIREMENTS, QUALITIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED**
- **Experience**:At least 8-10 years of relevant project management experience in an automated production environment.
- **Management experience**: at least 8 years of experience in managing personnel, engineers and project managers.
- **Education**:Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering preferred, but a Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or automated production engineering combined with relevant experience will also be considered.
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
- **Technical skills**:

- o Ability in project, budget and schedule management.
- o Knowledge of automation and equipment design.
- **Leadership and interpersonal skills**: Patient, good listener, team player, natural leadership, motivator.
- **Results focused**: Results-oriented with a strong ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- **Collaboration and teamwork**:Ability to work in a cooperative and consultative mode, actively involving the engineering and maintenance teams in discussions and decisions.
- **Organizational and decision-making skills**: Organized, flexible, autonomous, proactive, resourceful, able to make decisions and manage stress effectively.
- **Occupational Health and Safety**: Working knowledge of OHS regulations, with a focus on occupational safety.
- **Computer knowledge**: Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, CMMS, ERP or other similar systems.
- **Spoken and written languages (advanced level)**: French and English.

**The Project Team**

The project team is composed of 7 to 10 people: mechanical engineers, technical support project managers, industrial engineering project managers. Each member brings complementary expertise.
