**Job Summary**

**Hybrid, on-site, National Gallery of Canada, 380 Sussex Drive, Ottawa and remote coming in as required up to 3 days per week.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Labour Relations and Staffing, the Advisor, Staffing will provide administrative support in all areas of staffing and recruitment; schedule interviews, conduct reference checks; maintain competition files; prepare correspondence and documentation; coordinate second language testing; prepare new hire on-boarding package and co-ordinate on-boarding clearances.
**Requirements**:
EDUCATION
- Post-secondary level education in labour relations, human resources from a recognized academic institution or equivalent experience and training, working towards CHRP designation is an asset;
WORK EXPERIENCE
- 2-3 years’ work experience providing Human Resources service in the following areas:

- Providing support with recruitment and staffing
- On-boarding
- Experience working with applicant tracking systems, HRIS system (ADP Workforce Now), Microsoft Suite programs
- Knowledge of various laws governing federally legislated employees (Human Rights Act, Canada Labour Code, Employment Equity Act, Accessibility Act).

ABILITIES/SKILLS
- Organized with a keen attention to detail;
- Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines;
- Good judgment and the ability to work well under pressure;
- Ability to work independently and as a team member;
- Highly developed people skills and excellent interpersonal skills;
- Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality.

**Condition of Employment**
- Must meet the bilingual requirement to be invited to the interview process.
