About Us: Brain Care Centre (BCC) exists to give those impacted by acquired brain injury the supports they need to overcome limitations, reconnect, rebuild, and thrive in the community. BCC is a registered charitable not-for-profit organization and serves the spectrum of brain injury from mild to severe.

Role: The Volunteer Coordinator will assess Brain Care Centre's current Volunteer Program and begin the post pandemic revitalization of this service.

**Qualifications**
- Certification: Related diploma or degree or equivalent experience
- Experience: Volunteer management, case management, or program coordination
- Up-to-date and clear criminal record check

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Review and update Brain Care Centre’s Volunteer Policy and Procedures
- Research volunteer program models from other non-profit organizations
- Redesign the training content for the Leisure Companion Program, adapting the current reading material into an interactive group training workshop
- Design and help launch a volunteer recruitment campaign
- Attend volunteer networking and recruitment events to actively recruit new volunteers
- Assist in creating volunteer recruitment material for BCC’s social media accounts
- Deliver group volunteer training sessions
- Match leisure companion volunteers with appropriate clients
- Work alongside the Fund Development Manager to source volunteers for events
- Collect volunteer hours from volunteers on a monthly basis for reporting purposes
- Address volunteer questions and/or concerns
- Develop and distribute volunteer engagement surveys, review and analyze responses, and make adjustments to the program or training as required.

**Other Job Expectations**:

- Conduct all day to day activities in accordance with BCC’s Mission, Vision and Values and the BCC Code of Conduct and BCC’s Personnel Policies and Procedures
- Adhere to high standards of ethical practice and confidentiality
- Participate as a professional, positive and supportive team member
- Any other duties as required

**Position Detail**:

- 1.0 Full-Time Equivalent contract position for one (1) year
- Annual salary starting at $45,000.00 based on a work week of 37.5 hrs which may involve some evenings and weekends.
- Any overtime accumulated is to be taken as lieu on the ratio of one hour overtime granted as one hour lieu. Accommodation for the scheduling of staff lieu time is in consultation with the employee’s supervisor.
- As an ongoing staff member, you will serve a probationary period of three (3) months with a review prior to receiving permanent status in this role.
- Provision of 15 days of paid vacation, five (5) paid floater days when BCC is closed between Christmas and New Year, three (3) personal days, and nine (9) medical days (available after three (3) months of employment).
