Job Summary:
We are a large, full-service marina nestled in the southwest corner of beautiful Penetanguishene Harbour. As the largest independently owned marina on Georgian Bay, we understand the importance of exceeding customer satisfaction, continually improving our people, processes, services, and delivery. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee grounds and building projects, and launch and haul out events. The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operations across all departments, managing staff, and implementing strategies to improve productivity and profitability.

**Duties**:

- Facilitate and direct all launch and haul out activities
- Schedule all customer vessels for launch and haul out
- Oversee all Yard Crew and Yard Maintenance employees
- Ensure all yard equipment is properly maintained
- Direct all Yard and Maintenance team members
- Ensure all docks, grounds, buildings and equipment are maintained, safe and in working order
- Manage grounds, docks and building projects
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with department managers to streamline processes and optimize resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards
- Manage and motivate a team of employees, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement cost reduction initiatives
- Oversee inventory management, procurement, and stock control
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Resolve operational issues in a timely manner, escalating as necessary

**Experience**:

- Experience in marine industry is an asset including working knowledge of boats and marine systems
- Experience with LightSpeed computer software or a marine oriented POS system considered an asset
- Knowledge of nautical terminology or the ability to learn quickly is an asset
- Ability to swim and tread water for two minutes is an asset
- Proven experience in operations management or a related field
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset
- Solid understanding of financial principles and budgeting processes
- Proficient in using technology to streamline operations and improve efficiency
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
