**Team & Job Overview**
The EDC Corporate Services team is currently looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, customer-centric, program management professional to fill the role of Corporate Travel Specialist.
This role would be a great fit for a highly organized individual who wants to deliver best-in-class service to EDC and FinDev Canada’s employees.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Work closely with the corporate travel management company supporting EDC and FinDev Canada to ensure best business practices, service levels and competitive pricing are achieved.
- Build strong relationships with internal key stakeholders to understand the needs and identify opportunities to increase quality and improve value for money.
- Perform reporting and analysis of spend data to identify potential improvement opportunities to optimize costs and greenhouse gas emissions.
- Plan and execute effective negotiation strategies and competitive processes with vendors to best position the company for success.
- Ensure EDC Guidelines, processes and activities comply with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of the travel market, relevant practices, and innovations, including the technology supporting the end-to-end process from travel options to employee reimbursement.
- Assist the other members of the Corporate Services team when needed to ensure cross-training and continuity of service, notably in the domains of events and hospitality, mailroom and facilities management.
**Screening Criteria**
- Level 15: Diploma in Business Administration, Tourism Management or related disciplines and 2-5 years of experience in travel management
- Level 16: Degree in Business Administration, Tourism Management or related disciplines and 5-7 years of experience in travel management
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service and relationship building skills
- Knowledge of the Government of Canada’s relevant directives, notably on travel, hospitality, conference and events
**Asset**
- Bilingualism in both official languages (English and French)
**Compensation Details**:
- Safety & Security Services 15: Salaries typically range from $63,894 to $85,194 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive.
- Safety & Security Services 16: Salaries typically range from $72,840 to $97,121 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive.
**Location**
- Export Development Canada is a hybrid work environment.
- This role may be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa, or from the Community Hub in Toronto or Montreal.
