**Accreditation Specialist**
FICS is seeking an accreditation specialist to support our accreditation clients and services. In this role, you will play a key part in driving quality improvement within organizations and programs, by coordinating, supporting, and leading accreditation processes.
FICS provides consulting services including facilitation, leadership development, and accreditation program development and management. As a member of our growing team of Accreditation Specialists, you will work with clients in the education and healthcare sectors, including organizations like the Canadian Massage Therapy Council for Accreditation, the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario, and Humane Canada. Your responsibilities will focus on accreditation program design and management, and will also include standards development and revision, and accreditation program evaluation.
This role requires excellent team leadership and project management skills, along with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and partners. Additionally, you should be willing to travel regularly within Canada to lead accreditation site reviews and educational sessions.

This opportunity offers a full-time salary range of between $62,000.00-$72,000.00 per year.

**Responsibilities**
- Promoting and Coordinating Accreditation Programs_
- **Manage Accreditation Timelines and Deliverables**:Ensure accreditation deadlines and requirements are met by collaborating with education programs and survey teams throughout the accreditation review process.
- **Provide Support to Education Programs**:Guide education programs through the accreditation process, promoting accreditation as a tool for quality improvement, and assisting new programs interested in pursuing accreditation.
- **Coordinate Accreditation Reviews**:Oversee the entire accreditation review process, from planning to the site visit and report writing. This includes recruiting and leading review teams, organizing logistics, and managing competing priorities to ensure successful outcomes.
- **Create Supportive Resources**:Develop various resources—such as written materials, webinars, in-person training sessions, and online learning modules—to assist education programs and surveyors.
- Accreditation Process_
- **Evaluate and Improve Processes and Policies**: Continuously assess and refine accreditation processes and policies to make the experience more efficient and effective for all participants.
- **Drive Continuous Quality Improvement**: Enhance the impact of accreditation and improve the overall experience for those involved in the accreditation reviews.
- **Promote the Value of Accreditation**: Create and share communications that highlight the benefits of accreditation, encouraging more education programs to participate.
- **Support Standards Development and Revision**: Assist in the creation and revision of accreditation standards by engaging with those who will use them, and analyzing feedback and data.
**Requirements**:
- At least 4 years experience in:
- Leading accreditation processes or programs
- Implementing accreditation processes in a post-secondary education setting
- Regulatory compliance, including evaluating compliance with standards or competencies for licensing or certification
- Implementing formal quality improvement processes
- University degree in a related field such as education, sciences, health care, communications, or healthcare services administration
- Strong knowledge of quality improvement principles
- Project management qualifications or experience
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills, and sound judgement
- Strengths in professional interpersonal communication and building working relationships
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Ability to work in French and English would be an asset
- Learning design and/or adult education qualifications or experience would be an asset
- Internet and technology savvy and highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Microsoft Teams, Word and Excel)
