Responsible for optimizing the Hotel’s Room and Catering Food & Beverage revenues and increasing RevPAR by working with the General Manager, Director of Sales and Director of Finance. Implementing, evaluating and implementing effective Yield Management techniques and procedures to maximize profitability through room inventory control, pricing, demand/supply analysis, business evaluation and trending reports. Recommend and maintain the key functions of pricing, inventory management, forecasting, budgeting, and sales strategy for the transient, wholesale and group segments, while identifying new revenue opportunities.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE**:

- Implement pricing strategies for group and transient business segments. Conduct frequent competitor pricing analysis to ensure correct daily and seasonal rate positioning to the competition.
- Conduct daily group business evaluations in accordance with hotel revenue objectives and profit expectations.
- Maintain and evaluate statistical information for tracking and decision-making purposes. Prepare all Ottawa Marriott standard forecasts, weekly and monthly reports.
- Monitor and direct Reservation Team and review reservation system and performance statistics.
- Conduct ongoing competitor price and product analyses to review proper rate positioning and product offering. Actively participate in pricing decisions for transient and group segments. Facilitate the weekly Sales Strategy meeting.
- Prepare Yield Management reports for weekly forecast meetings outlining booking pace, rate strategies, contribution and inventory strategies.
- Work with DOSM and team to establish strategies to increase revenue for Rooms and Sales & Catering: negotiation of pricing/room allocation on prospective accounts; assist with the assessment of business strategies in each segment.
- Provide a monthly competitive set analysis to Management complete with speculation on future performance in rate, occupancy, RevPAR and market share performance.
- Participate in the development of a strategic business plan by providing and analyzing current and projected group (convention) and transient sales data.
- Contribute to the financial goals of the hotel by participating in annual budgeting and sales and marketing plan.
- Monitor Brand reservation system to ensure total compliance with the requirements.
- Develop, implement and evaluate short-term tactics and long-range sales plans and programs by:

- Focusing on customer needs and expectations.
- Developing strategies for forecasting and analyzing reservation sales.
- Evaluating pace and group sales trends.
Provide direction, leadership and support to division by:

- Planning, supervising and evaluating work.
- Developing, communicating and enforcing policies, priorities, procedures and administrative standards.
- Providing training and creating opportunities for growth and development.
- Attend departmental meetings on a regular basis.
- Other reasonable duties as required.
