The Faculty interweaves theory and practice in professional and scholarly contexts. Strong programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels are linked to public and private sectors (e.g. government, libraries, media and cultural organizations, and community development) in an academic environment characterized by creative inquiry, critical thinking, interdisciplinarity and collaboration.

**Responsibilities**:
Project Coordinator (Research) for Surviving Memory in Postwar El Salvador research team (falls under the Project Coordinator/Manager job category)
- The Project Coordinator (Research) will be responsible for supporting and overseeing all aspects of one or more projects within the Surviving Memory in Postwar El Salvador research team in FIMS. The incumbent will coordinate and provide ongoing leadership of the project, and manage all project phases by setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress and results. The incumbent will engage various stakeholders, ensure project support and sponsorship, and provide leadership and direction to the project team.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Undergraduate Degree (BA) required; Master's degree preferred

**Experience**:

- 2 years' work experience in a related field

Skills, Abilities & Expertise:

- Demonstrated excellent bilingual communication skills (both written and oral) in English and Spanish required.
- At least three years of experience with community and cross-sector collaborations, including NGOs, civil society organizations, and universities.
- Experience coordinating research projects, organizing fieldwork, and communications for community-based projects.
- Previous work in a university environment and/or on a research project.
- An understanding of institutional practices and SSHRC reporting requirements
- Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize with an eye to consistently producing high-quality work and meeting deadlines in a demanding environment.
