Assi Market is looking for a **Meat Team Member** to join our team

Meat team members will cut, prepare, and package raw meat. They will prepare the marinades for some of the other meat products. The will keep the work area in clean conditions at all times. They will greet customers and assist in any inquiries that they have.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Promote the culture and values of Assi Market
- Work under pressure during periods of high traffic or unpredictable events to keep store fully stocked
- Adjust work tasks accordingly to the requirements of the supervisor or senior team members to assist them in urgent matters
- Assist customers with their inquiries to the best of your ability
- Develop positive relationships with other team members by understanding and addressing their needs
- Keep work area and display shelves clean and tidy
- Follow Assi Market employee handbook policies to ensure compliance and alignment with expectations from the management team
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Follow health and guidelines when performing work and other best practices
- Ensure all meat products displayed are of top quality in terms of freshness and overall presentation

**Experience**
- Customer service orientated role in a retail or restaurant environment (**Preferred, but not necessary**)

**Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
- Ability to learn quickly
- Effective oral communication skills (Ability to speak Korean is a bonus)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Able to stand/walk for 6-8 hours
- Comfortable with knives and other cutting equipment
- Comfortable being exposed to wet and freezing temperatures for short periods of time
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Eligibility to work in Canada (i.e. citizenship, permanent residency, or work visa)

**Availability**:

- Full or Part-Time
- 7 Days a Week, 8:00 am to 9:00 pm

**Pay Rate**:

- Depending on experience

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual

**Salary**: From $16.00 per hour
