Cioffis Group [Meat Market] is seeking a full-time meat cutter/butcher to our team. The market is located along Hastings Street (near Gilmore Street).

As a **Meat Clerk / Cashier** at Cioffi's Meat Market & Deli, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our customers have a positive and memorable shopping experience. Your primary responsibilities will involve assisting customers, preparing and packaging meat products, and handling cashier duties. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn about different types of meats and cuts.

**Job Duties**:

- Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor, providing assistance and answering any inquiries.
- Assist customers in selecting the right cuts of meat, offering advice on cooking methods and pairings.
- Prepare and package various meat products, ensuring they are accurately weighed, labeled, and presented attractively.
- Maintain a clean and organized meat display area, ensuring that products are well-stocked and visually appealing.
- Operate cash registers, process transactions accurately, and provide customers with receipts.
- Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments securely and efficiently.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, discounts, and special offers to effectively upsell and cross-sell products.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while handling and storing meat products.
- Collaborate with colleagues to manage inventory levels and restocking tasks.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, meat cuts, and cooking techniques to provide informed recommendations to customers.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a customer service or retail role is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of different meat cuts and cooking methods is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash transactions.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.75-$20.00 per hour
