The Field Service Manager will work closely with Site Managers to manage and support the performance of material handling equipment across local sites. This role involves hands-on collaboration to ensure optimal operations, provide technical expertise, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The decisions made by the Field Service Manager will have a moderate to high impact on business operations and customer satisfaction. This role will be based out of Montreal, QC.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with Site Managers to oversee and optimize day-to-day operations of material handling equipment.
- Lead, coordinate, and mentor local service teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Evaluate and analyze system/equipment performance data and conduct root cause analyses to address performance issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems related to automated material handling systems.
- Define workflows, assign responsibilities, and establish reporting relationships to maximize team efficiency.
- Participate in the development of budgets and business plans for the assigned functional area.
- Implement and monitor KPIs to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and deliver training programs based on skill assessments to enhance team capabilities.
- Create reports and communication materials to document performance issues and improvement strategies.
- Promote and implement Lean Principles (e.g., 4-Step Problem Solving, Kaizen, 5S) to improve site operations.
- Demonstrate continuous improvement in the maintenance and operation of material handling equipment to exceed customer expectations.

- Collaborer avec les gestionnaires de site pour superviser et optimiser les opérations quotidiennes des équipements de manutention des matériaux.
- Diriger, coordonner et encadrer les équipes locales de service pour atteindre l'excellence opérationnelle.
- Évaluer et analyser les données de performance des systèmes/équipements et effectuer des analyses des causes profondes pour résoudre les problèmes de performance.
- Dépanner et résoudre des problèmes techniques complexes liés aux systèmes automatisés de manutention des matériaux.
- Définir les flux de travail, attribuer les responsabilités et établir les relations hiérarchiques pour maximiser l'efficacité de l'équipe.
- Participer à l'élaboration des budgets et des plans d'affaires pour la zone fonctionnelle assignée.
- Mettre en œuvre et surveiller les indicateurs clés de performance (KPI) pour suivre les performances et identifier les domaines à améliorer.
- Développer et dispenser des programmes de formation basés sur les évaluations des compétences pour renforcer les capacités de l'équipe.
- Créer des rapports et des supports de communication pour documenter les problèmes de performance et les stratégies d'amélioration.
- Promouvoir et mettre en œuvre les principes Lean (par exemple, résolution de problèmes en 4 étapes, Kaizen, 5S) pour améliorer les opérations des sites.
