As the Receptionist/Administrative Assistant you will be the first point of contact for our company. You will coordinate the front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls. This position reports to the Accounting Lead and works closely with the Accounting and Estimating departments in a supporting role. Performing various clerical and accounting tasks such as, data management and keeping relevant electronic information up to date. You will also have the opportunity to assist with preparation of contract bids. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Portray FMI in a professional and positive manner
- Greet and welcome visitors as soon as they arrive at the office and direct them to the appropriate person and office
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Order office supplies and keep an inventory of stock
- Update calendars and schedule meetings
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
- Support the accounting and estimating departments in a variety of tasks
- Display effective and efficient communication with the Accounting Lead, Estimating Proposal Coordinator, and other FMI Head Office Personnel
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality

**Qualifications Required**
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and computer systems in general
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Customer service attitude
- High school diploma
- Must have reliable transportation

**Preferred**
- 1 year experience
- Post-secondary Certification or Diploma in Office Management or Accounting is a plus
- Knowledge of Vista by Viewpoint is a plus

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
