**Coordinator, Learning Services - Inclusive Learning Cougar Canyon Community Hub Program**

**About the Community Hub Program**:A district placed program through which students receive additional, targeted support while continuing to engage in a variety of meaningful learning environments. This program works to support the success of students who are significantly impacted by complex health and developmental conditions and typically meet the Ministry of Education and Child Care designation criteria for C, A, D and G. The program provides opportunities for specialized services, such as music therapy, to be conducted there with students from other district schools able to join.

**The Coordinator Learning Services Inclusive Learning - Cougar Canyon Community Hub Program**uses a strength-based approach to enable student access to curriculum learning in the classroom environment. This Coordinator is the teacher for the Cougar Canyon Community Hub program and, as such, supports the day to-day implementation of the Community Hub program including collaborating with classroom teachers to enable curriculum learning in the classroom environment, the development and implementation of educational plans (Individual Education Plans, Positive Behaviour Support Plans, etc.), the coordination of therapeutic supports and the coordination of and participation in inclusive learning environments. This Coordinator provides classroom-embedded consultative and professional learning support to schools beyond Cougar Canyon Elementary as related to the design of universal and inclusive learning environments enabling the success of diverse learners, focusing on learners with emerging self-regulation abilities. This Coordinator works with school teams to strengthen classroom practice as related to the design of instruction from the beginning with all students in mind and included and the implementation of inclusive practices (e.g., Trauma Informed Practice, Universal Design for Learning, Social Emotional Learning, First People’s Principles of Learning). Additionally, this Coordinator works with schools to assess and address student support needs through the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans, positive behaviour support plans and Safety Plans. This Coordinator provides training and liaises with School Teams, Learning Services, Ministry of Education provincial resource programs, the Ministry of Children and Family Development and various community service providers. This Coordinator works with Learning Services, Inclusive Learning to build networks and communities of practice across schools to strengthen inclusive and universal practice; working closely with Learning Services Inclusive Learning to investigate, assess and implement educational theories and practices to transform professional practice across the district.

**Qualifications**
- Master’s or equivalent in Inclusion and Equity.
- Experience with ABA and other positive Behavioural.
- Successful classroom teaching experience.
- Successful inclusive learning teaching experience in the areas of supporting students with Ministry of Education Special Needs designations including students presenting with social, emotional, mental health and complex self-regulation support needs.
- Successful and varied experience liaising with provincial resource programs, the Ministry of Children and Family Development and various agencies supporting children, youth, and their families.
- Successful experience supporting educators in the work of creating and sustaining inclusive and accessible learning environments and opportunities for students with social, emotional, mental health and complex self-regulation support needs.
