**Responsibilities**:
Provide care and support for the young person including but not limited to:

- Daily care and support in the home and in the community
- Implementing developmentally appropriate programming and activities in the home and the community
- Supporting life skills development i.e., chores, money management, grocery shopping, meals
- Preparing and cooking meals according to meal plan that adheres to the Canadian Food Guide
- Crisis and behavior management in the home and community
- Daily medication administration and record keeping
- Attending all necessary appointments i.e., doctors’ appointments, plan of care meetings, CAS meetings
- Completing daily end of shift reports in a timely manner
- Completing incident reports when necessary
- Completing plan of care reports in coordination with clinical team
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma or degree in Child and Youth Care, Social Service Work, or related field
- Minimal of one year’s experience working with children and youth in a residential or community setting.
- Knowledge of child development and behavior management techniques
- Ability work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong report writing skills.
- **Valid G License**
- **Valid Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sectors check**

- Understanding and Managing Aggressive Behavior (UMAB)
- Medication Education and Medication Administration
- Professional Standards Training
- Report Writing and Documentation Training
